Ministry outreach in Houston
Houston resettles more refugees than any other American city, with tens of thousands of Somali, Vietnamese, Arabic-speaking, and Spanish-speaking families arriving each decade to build new lives in Southeast Texas. Hope4America works alongside a network of Houston-area churches to provide Scripture access through radio broadcast and Audio Bible downloads at the moment these communities are most spiritually open — often in the weeks and months immediately following resettlement.
The city's church partnership model is central to our approach here: local congregations serve as distribution hubs and follow-up communities, ensuring that a listener who hears the gospel through radio or a borrowed device has a warm, welcoming church home to step into. Pray for the Somali and Arabic communities in particular, where cultural pressures can make an open profession of faith costly, and where patient, long-term relationship is the most important tool we have.
